Team Information

Both riders and crew members can belong to a team. Teams are a great way to build a support system for the ride. Teammates can assist each other in training, fundraising, encouragement, and so much more! Creating/joining a team is an option but not required. Many riders participate in AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride without a team affiliation. If you would like to join a team and do not want to create your own, contact AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride Coordinator, Carrie Sweet at 608.316.8619 and she will help to connect you to a pre-existing team.

How to Create a Team:
The individual planning to serve as team captain should create the team.

If the team captain already has an AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride account they should log in on the home page (you can return to the home page by clicking the AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride logo) at the top right corner of the page and then click “Resister as a Team Captain.”

If you do not have an AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride account, click “Register as a Team Captain” on the home page, and register from there.

When registering for the event the captain can create the team name, designate co-captains, message their teammates, and so much more! (Note: To designate a participant as a co-captain they must be registered).

Team Captains are encouraged to serve as the point person for their team and encourage their teammates to fundraise and train for the event!

How to Join a Team:
If you have an AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride account, log in on the home page (you can return to the home page by clicking the AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride logo) at the top right corner of the page and then click “Register as a Team Member.”

If you do not have an AIDS Ride Wisconsin - ACT Ride account, click “Register as a Team Member” on the home page, and register from there.

You can search the name of the team you would like to join.

The team captain must have created the team before a participant can join that team.

Fundraising on a Team:
At the closing ceremonies on Sunday, July 29, prizes will be given to the team that has the highest combined total of funds raised. Please note that each rider is individually responsible for reaching their required fundraising minimum; funds raised by teammates do not apply to any individual’s total but their own.

Donating to a Team:
Donors are welcome to donate to an individual participant or to the team as a whole. When a donor opts to donate to an entire team, those funds do not apply to any individual’s fundraising minimum.
