FUNDRAISING TIPS Pledge Yourself First. Friends and family are more likely to make a pledge if they know they know you have done so as well. Set A Goal. Raising $300 is easy if you break it into smaller amounts. 1.Start by pledging yourself first...$25 2. Ask 3 friends to each pledge...$25 = $75 3. Ask 2 coworkers to each pledge...$25 = $50 4. Ask your boss to pledge...$50 5. Ask 4 family members to pledge...$25 = $100 Corporate Gift Matching Programs An employee of Company ABC raises $100 for AIDS Walk Wisconsin. The employee gets a matching gift form from their supervisor or human resources to complete and turn in. Depending on Company ABC's matching gift program, the employee could get a 100% match (dollar for dollar), another percentage of the total donation or a specific dollar amount (for every $50 raised, Company ABC will match the amount up to $25).
