Volunteer Opportunities 

In order to make AIDS Walk Wisconsin a fun and successful event, we need your help! The event requires a minimum of 150 volunteers on the day of the event, and even more during the summer months leading up to AIDS Walk Wisconsin. Just a few hours of time can make a huge difference in the fight against AIDS in Wisconsin.

Day-of-Event Volunteer Opportunities include:

Morning Set-Up: Assist in general grounds set-up before walkers arrive (Some set-up tasks may involve heavy lifting.)

Volunteer Check-in: Check in volunteers, distribute volunteer t-shirts and name tags, direct volunteers to designated work sites

Walker Registration: Collect walker pledge forms and money, ensure walkers are registered per walk procedures

Dog Walker Registration: Collect pledge forms and money from walkers with dogs, monitor dogs while walkers complete registrations, clean up area

Incentive Coordinators: Assist Walker Registration volunteers and distribute walk t-shirts

Children's Area Coordinators: Distribute snacks and craft materials  

Greeters:
Greet walkers, provide directions and maps

Parking Attendants:
Direct attendees to designated Summerfest parking lots, provide parking assistance for handicapped attendees, monitor lot

Route Set-up: Place route signs, deliver supplies to rest stops (Physically demanding. Position does not allow volunteers to walk the AIDS Walk.) 

Finish Line Greeters: Distribute walker bags at the finish line

Post-event clean up: Take down signs on the Summerfest grounds and walk route, return tables, chairs and other supplies to designated areas (Physically demanding. Position does not allow volunteers to walk the AIDS Walk.)
