AIDS is on the run! Let's send it to hell into history.

The UN and UNICEF, the NIH, WebMd.com -- even for what it's worth, I and the current occupant of our White House -- all claim we can end this miserable epidemic THIS decade! Numbers of deaths and new infections worldwide have dropped each year since the mid '90s. Caring for existing HIV carriers and widespread education is prolonging lives and preventing transmission, so long as we all continue to devote attention and resources. Let's finish this!!
The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin even dropped AIDS from its name this year, merging with similar agencies around the country into the Vivent Health network. The former ARCW had achieved the nation's best rates of success (undetectable viral load) by providing comprehensive health care services all in one place: food, housing and legal assistance, case management, counseling, a pharmacy and of course health care. Other health organizations are learning from them.
A 3-day bike challenge supports my own health while helping to fund services for people in need which I can't personally provide. If you're inclined to donate to the worthy non-profit Vivent Health in my name, I'd sure be honored.
